Scoring

I have been wondering whether I should score these drinks.
Cons: What is the point of a complete know-nothing scoring whisky? In fact, isn't there something a little insulting about such a person trying to judge something that has taken years of effort from professionals to produce? Fair enough, there is some kind of value in stating an untutored impression, but scoring?
Pros: I have a Japanese whisky guide that doesn't score its whisky. It is just annoying that they are not prepared to put their chips on the table. If they were spectacularly wrong, giving a high rating to something myself or others thought was dross, then at least I as the reader would know not to trust their opinions.
So,that's settled then, I must do scoring. But how to do it? Attempting anything like those 100 point scales that seem to be the norm in whisky tasting circles is going to be well beyond me. I mean, my whisky brain only has about four or five gears - dislike, ok, like, like a lot - not 100 discrete levels. So this is what I am going to do:
= "No"
= "Not really my tipple"
= "Pour another one, would you?"
= "Pass the bottle."
= "Order me a case! Now!"I thought about having a "good value" grade, especially for my beloved Yoichi (no age), but I think I am going to keep it simple and not take price into account in my gradings.
